Today was the public opening day of Carrochan, the new HQ of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority. We were appointed interior designers on the project, and the architects were Page and Park.
Graven Images won a Scottish Design Award in the interior design category for the newly completed BBC HQ at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. Congratulations to all the team – thank you!!

Graven Images has rallied the troops to design and fit out a new workspace for El Sistema – a charitable youth programme being piloted in Stirling.
The El Sistema programme, founded by Maestro Abreu in Venezuela 30 years ago, works with children and young people using orchestral music tuition. Through the El Sistema schooling method, children not only learn to play instruments, but also about citizenship and co-operation.
We have donated computers to the cause, and are helping to co-ordinate a team of our best suppliers and contractors who have kindly donated in-kind resources to help with the fit out the new HQ, which is due to be completed shortly. Many thanks to:

We are currently working with the Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture, Design and the City to help visitors find it. We are proposing a 12m high stainless steel structure for Buchanan Street which, as well as highlighting the location, will display details of forthcoming and current exhibitions and events at the Lighthouse. A family of other lighting and interpretive elements creates a “trail of breadcrumbs” to the front door.
Now on site…expected completion late spring 2004.
We were commissioned by the National Trust for Scotland to promote awareness of historic house “Gladstone’s Land” to passing pedestrians.
We did this by the design and implementation of external interpretative signage in the form of life-size pigs!
We are pleased to report that visitor numbers are up by almost a third since the piggies were installed.
Eden Court re-opened at the weekend after a 2-year refurbishment programme to make it Scotland’s largest arts complex. Graven Images worked closely with PagePark on the design and fit-out of the front of house areas as well as internal and external signage.
We also researched and designed a new public exhibition for the Bishops Palace about the history of the building.
Eden Court is quite unlike any other venue in Scotland, serving an entire region not just a city and presenting an enormous variety of events, including music, drama, dance comedy and cinema. As well as being the only large scale theatre in the North of Scotland, Eden Court is a major conference venue, the only arts cinema in the Highlands and the base for the most extensive education and outreach programme offered by any arts organisation in Scotland.
