We have just been commissioned by Alba Town to carry out a fit-out of the showflat of this important development at Glasgow Cross.
Following on from our refurbishment of the Radisson SAS Hotel on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, we are now working on the Radisson SAS Strand in Stockholm. The project is expected to be completed in 2006.
We have just completed the interior refurbishment of this hotel, located on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. We designed the bedrooms, the reception area, lounge area and the new bar/restaurant, ‘Itchycoo’.
How do we choose where to live, work or visit when every place wants to be our favourite destination?
This is the subject matter of our latest mailer, featuring new projects soon to be added to this site. if you would like a copy (limited copies available), please email emma at emma@graven.co.uk
We have just completed a lovely graphics project for Sandwich Stack, in Edinburgh. Sandwich Stack offers fantastic take away food in the heart of the city. We redesigned the brand and created a new mark, take-away packaging, point of sale and signage to coincide with the opening of the second outlet in Earl Grey Street. It’s the best thing since sliced bread.
The hotel is located in a ’70s neo-gothic building on the historic Royal Mile in Edinburgh. We were commissioned to refurbish the bedrooms and the public spaces of this fantastic hotel. The project is in its final stages of completion.
For this exhibition we were one of 5 practices asked by The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture, Design & the City to make proposals for coastal ‘machines’, which aim to encapsulate the changing social and environmental processes and rhythms that will shape our coastal regions in the next 50 years.
Our proposal, Sashimi Machine is an intervention that uses the brand as architecture. The function of the lido has been changed into a place to manufacture fantastic fresh seafood, making it the focus of health, wealth and pleasure and helping to redress the economic imbalance caused by the neglectful destruction of the Scottish fishing industry.
We now have our own online bookstore! We’ve always been passionate about books, and as designers we create books and brochures for our clients and occasionally find ourselves involved in projects that deserve a wider audience, to be voiced in the form of a book.
This website has been created specifically for these projects and the books we publish. Enjoy!
